Bill Mazeroski starts the decade with an historical World Series moment by slamming a winning walk-off homer in the bottom of the 9th during game 7. The Mets close out the decade with an amazing finish and shock the world winning the Title in 1969. In between all that craziness the Yankees, Dodgers, and Cardinals win 2 more World Series each. Down 3 games to 1, the Tigers scratch and claw their way back into the Series in 1968 to win it as Lolich (3-0) defeats Gibson in game 7 thanks to his strong pitching effort and a string of hits by Tiger stars Northrup, Cash, Brown, and Freehan in the top of the 7th.
